Change4Life Sugar Smart
Too much sugar is bad for children's health and can lead to serious illness and tooth decay. So this initiative from Public Health England aims to teach children how to be Sugar Smart, making smart swaps at meal times to help cut down their daily sugar intake.
Working with illustrator Julie Featherstone, we created an activity pack including a fold-out map and stickers to make the learning journey fun, supported by downloadable materials for schools, a Sugar Smart app and weekly email newsletters for parents and carers. The project involved creating hundreds of illustrations and went on to inspire Saatchi's TV commercial.
The pack made a real difference to parents' buying habits and had a great response on social media.
